Project Co-ordinator Barbara Benish presented updates on the progress of the SSPA and announced future events and strategy. Randy Widera, formerly of Save Our Parks and an environmental consultant, described the history of the Cement Ship regarding State Parks, and how the system functions. Jeaneil Engelstad, Founding Director of MAP (Make Art with Purpose), outlined her organization’s idea for establishing a semi-permanent installation of containers-cum-learning labs, on the Park grounds near the ship. Other professors from the Art Department attended.
